Yes, PairGears provides fully customized gear and shaft manufacturing services tailored to your exact specifications.
Whether you need a single prototype or full-scale production, our engineering team can manufacture gears and shafts in virtually any size, material, and specification. From small precision gears under 50mm to large industrial shafts exceeding 900mm in length, PairGears has the advanced CNC equipment and technical expertise to deliver custom solutions that match your exact requirements.
What We Can Customize
At PairGears, customization goes far beyond simple sizing. Every parameter can be configured to meet your application's unique demands:
Materials
Carbon steel (C45, 1045), alloy steel (4140, 4340, 42CrMo), stainless steel (304, 316), tool steel (H13, D2), aluminum alloy (6061, 7075), brass, bronze, and engineering plastics. Material selection is guided by your application's load, speed, and environmental conditions.
Dimensions & Tolerances
Gear diameter from 10mm to 2,000mm; shaft diameter from 6mm to 300mm; shaft length up to 2,000mm. Tolerances as tight as ±0.01mm with surface finish down to Ra 0.4μm. AGMA 12 / DIN 4 grade gear precision available.
Gear Types
Spur gears, helical gears, bevel gears (straight & spiral), worm gears, ring gears, internal gears, spline shafts, gear racks, sprockets, and custom tooth profiles. Pressure angle, module, and tooth count all configurable.
Heat Treatment
Carburizing, induction hardening, nitriding, quenching & tempering. Achieve surface hardness up to HRC 60-65 with a tough, ductile core for wear resistance and impact toughness in demanding applications.
Surface Finishing
Zinc plating, chrome plating, black oxide coating, phosphating, and anti-rust oil treatment. Each finish is selected based on your operating environment to maximize corrosion resistance and service life.
Custom Packaging
Custom color boxes, branded packaging, export-grade wooden cases, and palletized shipping. We also offer OEM labeling and barcode integration to align with your brand identity and supply chain requirements.
Our Custom Manufacturing Process
Every custom gear and shaft order at PairGears follows a rigorous, step-by-step manufacturing workflow to ensure consistent quality from prototype to production:
Design Review & Engineering
Our engineers analyze your 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, or sample parts. We conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis to optimize your design for cost, quality, and lead time before production begins.
Material Sourcing & Inspection
We source certified raw materials and perform incoming inspection including spectral analysis and ultrasonic flaw detection to guarantee material integrity before machining.
Precision Machining
Using advanced CNC lathes, gear hobbing machines, gear shapers, and 5-axis machining centers, we produce your parts with tight tolerances. Key processes include forging, rough turning, gear cutting/hobbing, and precision finishing.
Heat Treatment
Controlled carburizing, induction hardening, or nitriding processes create the optimal hardness profile — wear-resistant surface with a tough, impact-absorbing core for maximum service life.
Gear Grinding & Finishing
For high-precision applications, gear grinding ensures tooth profile accuracy, reduces transmission noise, and improves meshing efficiency. Surface treatments are applied as required.
Quality Inspection
Every batch undergoes dimensional inspection, tooth profile measurement (Klingelnberg P100 or equivalent), hardness testing, and surface roughness verification. Full inspection reports are available upon request.

ISO 9001 Certified Quality
Our manufacturing facilities operate under ISO 9001 certified quality management systems. Every batch undergoes rigorous dimensional and material verification before shipment.
Full In-House Production
From forging and rough machining to gear hobbing, heat treatment, grinding, and final inspection — all processes are performed in-house, giving us complete control over quality and lead time.
No Minimum Order Quantity
Unlike many manufacturers, PairGears accepts single-piece prototype orders. This allows you to validate your design before committing to larger production volumes, reducing financial risk.
12-Month Warranty
All custom gears and shafts come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Our after-sales team responds within 24 hours to any quality concerns.
Global Shipping
We ship worldwide with export-grade anti-rust packaging and reinforced wooden cases to ensure your custom parts arrive in perfect, factory-new condition regardless of destination.
Important Notes Before Ordering
- Provide your specifications: The more detail you provide (2D/3D drawings, material preferences, tolerance requirements, quantity), the faster and more accurate our quotation will be.
- Samples available: We offer free samples for quality evaluation (shipping cost applies). This lets you verify fit, finish, and performance before full production.
- Design support: Our engineering team can help optimize your gear or shaft design for manufacturability, potentially reducing cost while maintaining or improving performance.
